Not being a 3rd Gen owner - please be forgiving.

Spotted this VRX Diamante on US ebay.
Just wondering if any Aussie versions have wheel arch flares/fenders like this Diamante has? They seem to hug the front & back bumpers - Do the Aussie ones do this?

Also, do the 3rd Gen centre consoles have cup holders like this Diamante has?

Nice cup holders, Is the first I seen actually, the others were woodgrain built in like the verada.

However I cant help noticing that they look a bit flimsy and may break.

Looks to me like they have attached Verada Bumpers to a VRX but they've kept the VRX Side Skirts. Beautiful looking car, looks a bit like mine :)

thats a Diamante VRX, which got the wheel arch flares similar to the VRX/Ralliart etc, but moulded for the Verada bumpers.

would be interesting to see if you could get em over here

Correct me if im wrong but don't jap spec 3rd gen Diamante's have a double wishbone front suspension? I can remember reading something about this in Wheels in '96 when the TE was launched and they said the reason we kept the strut front end was because it was cheaper to build and performed better in a crash...

Yep, well, A-arm anyhow. The AWD's used this too, so they had to reengineer it to fit standard struts on the Aussie AWDs. The floor plan for the jap-domestic model was shipped from Australia to japan for that short period

Typical us getting shafted with out memory seats and electric passengers seat.

What is the second switch for on the passengers side next to the electric window switch?

I have this cup holder in my car. Its actually quite strong, as long as you dont spill anything on it. If you do, and then close it, it sticks the damn thing shut. It also has a lid that opens to the left or right, to expose a shallow tray in the lid, as well as backwards for the box underneath. Quite nifty actually. Can the guy put a few more photos up? Not sure he has taken enough lol.

Anybody also notice that there are no side indicators on the front guards because their indicators are in the front bumper?

Also, I wonder how they fix the front number plate on them? They must have a optional mounting bracket or something.

I really wish the Diamantes parts were easily accessible over here. :(

The switch on the passengers door is the auto window down button. One push and the window goes up or down. Saves holding the button........Americans are soooooo lazy....:bowrofl:

Their indicators are the same as ours on the front. The orange lights in the bumper are the running lighs which are on all the time.

I want some of those side rear bumper running lights to replace our reflectors. Wish they sold them here.

I just checked with MMAL P and A and the Rear Markers are available Part Number is MR296294 and they will need to be ordered from MMC as MMAL is out of stock. That part number is for one lamp only not both sides. Be aware though the reason Oz Verada's only had the reflector is because its apparently illegal to have a running light on Australian vehicles. Dont know how that applies to underbody neons?

Wow, thanks for that mate. Do you work for Mitsub?

Any idea how much these side lights are each?

I'm sure there might be a group buy on this one.

Yes, I get an appearance fee for turning up at Mitsi's each day. You will need to check with MMAL on pricing.
