have gotten new engine mounts for my tr 2.6 auto from a mate for a good price. gonna be fitting them in the next couple of weeks. does anyone have any suggestions/tips to make the job easier? any help would be appreciated.

ummm eat ur weetbix, get lots of sleep , have a torch handy even if u are doing it during the day, use a block of wood between the jack and engine so u don't dint ur sump, have an extra set of hands (or mate help), make sure ur sockect has some good size extentions, have a can of wd-40 handy and an extention bar, put a pot of coffee on and don't be afraid to swear if u skin your knckles:bowrofl: :D :bowrofl:

lol smooth. my sons father came and done 2 of mine. he thought it was going to be a one man job. ended up 2 guys, me and about 8 hours lol

you mean you are changing the whole engine carrier mount? or just the bushes that go inside the carrier... if the latter... all i can say is HAVE FUN lol its a horrid job specially to get the old bush out...its not cool...
and remember... the front and rear are different sizes :)
