well yer my magna brokedown yet again it just wont keep the revs up and it chugs and coughs while driving wht do u rekon it is. its at the mechanics atm. its a 87 TN SE 2.6 efi 5spd

Maybe the injectors good clean out

its a 2.6 efi, yeah its still got fuel and spark and yer its got a new head but funny thing is it still has a problem with ovaheating

Maybe the throttle body? My throttle body showed symptoms for about 4 months before it totally packed up. Bunny hopping like it had bad fuel, wacky revving with no power once in gear, dieing in traffic then starting and revving hard only to die again. It was like it was possessed by a demon choosing the worst times in heavy traffic to throw fits of no power shuddering surging bunny hopping madness, then it would come good for a while.

I had the same problem but worse. It turned out to be the engine position sensor plug. It connects onto the dizzy. Just take it off and check if its coroded and clean it up with a wire brush and wd40.
