Hey all,
Im Scott, Im a newbie to magnas, been a toyota man til now.
Got myself a white TJ ser2 exec. its stock except for some king
springs i chucked in last week. I plan to modify it a bit, make it
my own.
It has the dark grey mirrors, trimming at the bottom of the doors
and sill covers. I want them all to be white and match the rest of
the car.
My question is, would it be better/easier/cheaper to paint them white
or to source genuine white ones from somewhere?
If anyone has any they wanna sell swap, im keen.
Cheers
appreciate any suggestions.
Scott. :D

hey mate and welcome, just paint them yourself it is the most cheapest option and looks the same aslong as they are painted correctly!!
good luck!

Cheers man,
is that what you've done? id be pretty happy to get them looking
like that... did you use the magna colour or just find a white off
the shelf that looked the same??
Scott.

Use the true colour. It would stick out like dogs balls if the colours dont match correctly.
Wouldnt be overly dear to havce them painted by a beater. Maybe a few hundred bucks.

i painted my front grill and the plastic inserts a different silver i think it looks better than the origional colour because it stands out a bit more

i painted my sideskirts the other weekend. took me longer to mask it all up than it did to paint it. i just wento to autobarn and got them to mix up the paint colour into a spray can. i used the whole can, plus another small can to get it all to cover evenly. if you used a white undercoat first you would do it with 1 can of each.

Easier to take them off {just a few screws and clips) up on the paint tables (wheelie bins) and spray them all at once without getting overspray on your car....
I would love to do the mirrors too but i think i might leave that to the pros

mine had been sikaflexed and double sided taped on, so it was easier to do it on.
