i have been advised that this is perhaps not the best thing to do to 18"s but honestly i have to be fairly harsh on the car to do it, as my handbrake doesnt work at all, Fun tho.

Funny enough i got 40,000 kays of a set of falken GR-b's 18" with only very mild -ve camber scrub, (no camber kit)

Just wondering, as I have never attempted a burn out, can you even do that in an 3.0L AUTO? I mean, It's easy with manual, just dump the clutch, but what do you dump in an AUTO? and how bad is it for your drive shafts when you do that? does it f'k anything up? Oh, and how much rubber does it take off with, say 10sec of wheel spin?

cheers.

actually - i wasn't using the hand brake - i used the hand brake to turn me around (makes life easier when you are doing 70 km/h and wanna do a 180) and that was what happened - the Vic boys have seen the video!!

Yes - that was a 2nd gear effort though (but no handbrake slowing me down - just no traction!!

can someone explain why you do burn out in 2nd? isn't it putting a lot more stress on the engine while in 2nd?

more smoke. i figure, if your going to break it, why not do it whilst having fun, rather then,

some wanker smashing your window and stealing your stuff, or coming back to your car in a carpark and finding it smashed and no phone number.

as far as i can see. drag racing legally, is probably not what magna's are suppose to do. but if you have ever gone racing there is a lot of fun to be had,

(i'd grind that expensive rubber off my wheels instead, but it probably would not provide the same ammusement, and i cant get the anglegrinder under the guards....)
