Hi all,
A colleague at work is having troubles with his stock 4 stacker from an 01 Verada. Had a search and it doesn't seem anyone else has had this problem, but he has a cd stuck in there and can't get it out.
Not too sure of the specifics, just wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and has a solution. Or if anyone with a stock indash 4 stacker could have a quick flick through their manual to see if they can find any remedies. (I have no experience with these units)
Is there a manual way of removing cds??
Thanks in advance
Peace
Tim

Try holding the power button for over 6 seconds to reset the micro computer. See if that helps. Dont know of any way to manually remove the discs. Soz

I assume that resetting the computer in it will require the security code to operate the unit after?

thats only if you disconnect the battery, holding the power button shouldnt require the code to be re-entered

By chance, could it be possible that there is no disc in there?
Ive done it with my PS3 the other day. Hit the eject button and nothing came out. It just starts beeping at me and I just start freaking out. Turns out game was in the case.

I had this problem with my old 4 stacker, the same unit I believe. When he presses eject, does it sound like it's getting stuck and the motor is still trying to push it out repeatedly, and it brings up some type of error code?
The way I fixed it on when it happened now and then, is I would eject the CD and let the motor start skipping, then poke another cd into the slot a bit and push against the stuck cd and wiggle it up and down a little bit. The stuck CD would then come out as normal.

Well, it'll either work like a charm, or get another one stuck :)

Well I tried it out and no luck. As soon as I pushed a cd in there the motor whirs over and I can feel it pushing against me but I cant actually feel another cd, so not sure whats going on. Looks like a faulty mechanism.
Tried the reset too to no avail.
Thanks for the help anyway guys, will let you know if I have any luck with it.
Peace
Tim
