Howdy all...
*edit* - have done forum search but not seen much related to this, unless I've missed something.
Been a while since I used this site, but anyway, onto my questions.
I have an '05 Series II ES Magna (4spd Auto with trip-tronic), I've noticed just recently (as in the last two days) that when 'moderately warmed up', and under intense acceleration there seems to be a high pitch squeak coming from the gearbox during the change from 1st to 2nd @ approx 5500-6000rpm. I've been able to replicate this three times, however it doesn't seem to happen when the car has warmed up.
I've also noticed sometimes that when starting the car up 'cold', there is a clunk noise that occurs once whilst the car is idle (before its in gear), this I can't replicate, it occurs randomly.
The car has about 38000k on the odometer, and is still under warranty - I plan on having it checked out soon.
Just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on what both things could be?
