How much are you looking to spend?
I found JVC's build quality on their 6x9's (not sure about any of their other stuff) pretty poor and they'll get destroyed when you put your sub/s in.
I bought some 80wrms sony xplods for $80 on special at JB a few months ago and they sound pretty good amped, haven't heard them unamped, so they might not go as good unamped.
I wouldn't spend over $150-200 on 6x9's as they don't last long with thumping bass in your boot and if you're only running them off the headunit you wont really benefit from having expensive speakers.

for the rears i would pick up some 6 1/2" coaxials seen as you'll be getting a sub later on
wouldnt spend heaps of money on them seen as most people have better sound coming from the front of the car instead of the rear
i wouldnt pay no more than 150 bucks for a set of rear speakers

Thats why looking at 6 or 6.5 inch speakers, 6x9's are kinda pointless with sub IMO, was thinking 100-130 range, dont want anything special just something to fill in the back. Oh and is it like the more ways the better or does it not matter to much, please help if possible! thanks,
Mikey

A good quality 2 way will sound better than a 4 way, if you're just running the speakers on HPF 2/3 way should be enough.

Cheers, so would you say kicker/alpine/polkmomo 2way over jvc/pioneer 3-4ways? thanks so much for help, things make sence! almost

I would probably go alpine out of those 3, pioneers are more in the $80-90 bracket.
Best way to choose would be to try and demo out a few possible brands and pick the one that sounds best to you.
