I was hoping someone might have or know where i can find pics of two piece parras on a car. I have seen heaps of one piece and have heard they look better than two piece and i wanted to see for myself.
Are there any real differences between ones and twos apart from indicators attached.
YES I HAVE DONE A SEARCH!!!! Do you realise how many results come up when searching parras?
Cheers

Here are some photos of the two piece paras. Apart from the separate indicator, I believe there is a slight wiring difference/issue with the parkers or something. Someone else here who knows for sure can comment on that though.

Thanks Billy M
Couple more questions. Are both made from plastic or are the two piece made of glass and also why the difference? Were some domestic and others export or did they change between year models. What was standard on tf/kf???

From searching through carsales.com.au, it appears that the two piece were on all Veradas and the TJ Sports/VRX up to sometime in late 2000 or 2001, then they all switched over to one piece. I think the two piece are glass with plastic indicator and the one piece are all plastic. Not sure why there are two types though - I guess it was time for a redesign.
Edit: I found a photo of a 2000 KJ with the two piece and 2001 KJ with the one piece. I searched for 2000 and 2001 Sports/VRXs and found the same thing.

2 piece glass lens on headlight, indicator plastic.
1 piece plastic lens which extends round the indicator.
Export, domestic no idea.
I believe 2 piece were KE, KF, KH (paras not used on magna) and 1 piece TJ sports,VRX and KJ.
Edit also the 2 piece were early TJ
The 2 piece don't have parker bulbs as veradas had parkers in the bumpers.

1 piece is assumed better because of clear indicator?
I think the 2 piece had a smooth looking lens for the headlights as it was glass whereas the 1 piece looks like the plastic has lots of diffusion edges in it..
a guess

Ta da, I am using two piece paras.
They look clean, however in terms of style the one piece are better.
IMO, the two piece are harder to install. Why?
Well first you have to deal with making parkers for it.
secondly They are very difficult to slide the indicators in especially when you are using standard headlight brackets, they are different from the verada's making this a painful process.
The slight disadvantage of the one piece is that due to it is plastic it may turn yellow due to lousy bulbs if used. IMO a set of one piece bellow $500 with shipping already included is a good price and investment as you can always sell them back at a decent price.
I cant complain about the two piece as its been doing great and no complains here. I have installed both one piece and two piece and I feel the one piece is much easier to install.
Hoped I have helped.

One peice looks nicer from a stock perspective but the 2 peice you could do some other mods to the indicator without fear of killing entire assembly.

how true but hey man one piece is already that cool not needing to mod the indicators. lol
Well like said you cant get everything. I am happy with my two piece and will stay on it till something happens.

*laughs* Yeah, we had fun Nexus installing my 1 peice Paras :)
Ok mate, IMO the 1 peice looks better and thats what I have. I have also found another thing to do that makes it easier to install so if you get some 1 peice paras give me a yell and I can give you some steps to install them. If Nexus and I had some idea how we could get them put in we woulda got it done alot faster :) When it comes to the wiring though you will need Nexus's help or someone else rather then me.
The paras out of Veradas don't have parker lights due to the parkers being in the front bumper. You can make a hole for them and get parkers put in but I am not sure of the procedure with that one.

I have a KH with two piece and a KJ2 with one piece.
Not really any difference with beam performance. Maybe 1 piece has slightly better beam spread.
I have put clear (magna) indicators on the side of my KH to replace the orange so it looks 1 piece anyway especially with light protectors.
Also, the KE's and not sure about the KF's had parker bulbs already in the low beam lense.
It is not wired up but the wiring loom is there with a plug on the end of it ready to go. Have always tossed up the idea of hooking them up but thought, why?
I'm fairly sure those early TJ AWD's with the two piece para's were using the internal parker bulb that i mentioned wern't they?

I piece Paras looks nicer, but extra work required if you need to change the indicator light.
Seems like it's hard to reach position when fitted into it's position.

Pretty sure all TJ AWD's had one piece paras (even the Dec 2002 ones)

my 2c - wernt 1 piece introduced with the series 2 range? - or at least the 1.5?
I have 2 piece in now but also have a pair of 1 piece to put in, so once I get my bonnet fixed in go the 1 piece.
