hey all,
just got home and pulled the boot release lever to opem the boot and felt like something snapped inside. theres no longer any tension on the lever, just moves freely and wont pop the boot. is this a broken cable or what? easy fix???
thanx, big 4

can't tell u unless the car is in front of us. so i guess u need to go look. either the cable has snapped or the little metal ball on the end has come off. grab a torch and check. if it has snapped just go to the wreckers and get a replacement then swap it.

remove the drivers side scuff plates and pull the carpet back to expose the lever set up,and i think the back seat will have to be removed too.You should be able to see what you need to do from there.Ive done it and its not too hard.

could just use this as a nice excuse to install remote electriconic release:D
other than that no matter where the break is you'll have to replace the cable, with seats removed and some plastic should only take an hour or two
