Hey guys i just brought this E-manage package off e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110082970746&rd=1&rd=1
and was wondering if it was possible to fit myself i'm mechanically minded and pretty good with electrics and wiring, Has anyone fitted one themselves or have i got no hope whatsoever.:)
by the looks of it its a full ecu replacement + pc software to tune yourself with diagnostics cable and all, sounds like a bargain. I would go to a tune place and get them to fit the ecu, then I would play with the e-manage software and tune it yourself.

Not just a piggyback?
yea it prolly is just a piggyback, being so wide spread with alot of cars. If it comes with install instructions try it yourself, have a car trailer and a second car ready for when you mess it up lol.

If you're doing a road tune and lean it out, it might be :P I have a very rough idea how ecu tuning works, however I'd never dare touch the maps given a chance knowing it'd cost a few grand to make a simple mistake.

I'll leave the tuning up to the dyno guys i'm just taking about the installing.
something serious like an ECU installation? I wouldn't chance it, i'd leave it to the professionals to install..even if it costs you a little extra $$. Will end up costing you more if you make a mistake. imo..

Looks a good package there!!
You can use a laptop and Support Tool for tuning and datalogging, but you can also use the E01. Sell one or the other and get some money to go towards tuning.:D
I put an E-manage in my 3rd Gen 3 Months ago. It runs fine: got no maps loaded so it's not actually doing anything ATM. :bowrofl: Waiting on heads......
If you want to wire it yourself, check this thread http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41038&referrerid=708
Get a P-touch or similar label maker and prepare your wires beforehand. And Solder + heatshrink, don't twist and tape.
Oh, and get the latest firmware here. http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/
