who out there has used "cummins short shifhter d.i.y." & modded the shifter on their magna? want to do the mod but just after some feedback. thanks in adavnce< mike.

did a cut job on my 2nd gen shifter myself...
just cut about 1 " out and it works great

yeah iknow about megatrons. was wondering if he uses cummins "design". my uncle has an engineering w/shop so i can go & use all his gear & ill do it myself following the cummins d.i.y.

The short shifter i made for my magna a few years ago is similar to what cummins did (except i made a whole new "gearstick" shaft up instead of cutting and adding in pieces, only because i had the time and the resources to do so :) but the other way works fine also).

It works great and ive had many people ask me to mod there magnas shifter the same, definately worth doing if ya have the time and skills. :D

but i use 40mm and 50mm in stead of the 30mm to give an even shorter throw
