So i was having a gander at my audio setup the other night. Was foolin around with the rear parcel shelf and to my surprise when i remove the speaker covers there were only 6"s in there. Ive told this to a few people and all i usually get is "No 6x9 for you hans briggs". But seriously, its a 1999 TH Advance, arent 6x9s stock?

they are on 3rd gens, dads got a 98 tf exec and he had the stock 6x9s until i gave him my schneider ones, so yea thye do have them.

I have had a 96 TE exec and a 00 TJ sports, my mum has a 02 Magna LE, my mate has a 97 Altera, another mate has had a 97 TE sports and currently has a 02 TJ GTV.. all have come with 6x9's. :D

I wouldn't say they're totally not needed, with lower end systems you can still gain some nice mid - high range freq. with a good set of 6x9's.

6x9's are sub woofer substitutes anyway.

just get some kick **** 6's and they will be better than 6x9's any day of the week when you have some subs in the boot.

Hey, dont get me wrong, its not like i really care as im running a sub, but was jst curious if they were stock. And the ones in there dont look aftermarket... :doubt: ... then again, ebay does sell alot of **** like these. They go alright atm, but replacing soon.

if i was buying splits again i wouldnt of gotten focal... look at morel and dynaudio, focal are very clinical and the tweeters are very bright, im looking at turfing both my sets at the moment and getting a vifa/morel/dynaudio setup (ie, vifa tweeter and a dynaudio or morel woofer)
