I've been looking into sound deadening.
Is Fatmat any good? I can get it cheaply and apparently its not too bad but does anyone have it?

Never heard of it...
Got link?
Preferably you want something heavy, thats tar/bitumen based with a foil backing.

If its foam stuff without any tar then it wont deaden your doors, it will stop reflections. not entirely useless but in a car you want to stop rattles and resonance of 'flimsy' panels. The only way to do this is to brace them (usually impractical) or to add weight to them and decrease their resonant frequency. Tar based deadener is good for this as it absorbs all the little resonances and turns this sound into heat. Spray/Paint on deadener is also effective as it adds weight.
You can add all the foam you want and a door will still vibrate / resonate
Got any pics/links for clarification?
