Got tint?
Guess it depends on how much you are looking to spend? Plenty of minor cheap updates you can do.
Personally, I'd go:
K&N Pannel
Lowering
Exhaust
Wheels
But then again I haven't fitted a 'performance' filter on my car, it's on lovell superlows/lows and has sucka5s stockies and a cannon.

make it look good before making it loud or go fast, its stupid attracting attention with somethin as stupid as a cannon or speeding through traffic grabbing attention to your car that looks stock standard which unfortunately being a 2nd gen isnt all that flash

I disagree, see a car that looks nice should go nice, i think it does need to look good but i want it to be going alright first, wheels shall be number one unless my bank dont have $$$ on thursday, which i am afraid of, as for small mods they are gonna be done as i go along (side indicators, making front indicators clear, Painting inside ect.)

yours is a v6 right? i find mine goes well enough, it rides pretty comfortably and has decent power to get me around the city, pulls well on the highway, i always thought the looks side lacked more so i did a few simple and fairly cheap things to make it look nicer and more moderne, when im happy with the way it looks then id be putting a nice throaty exhaust and a sub to turn some heads
thats what i reckon anyway, either way throwin some rims on 1st isnt a bad idea if you can afford it

i say get it reliable, then make it handle good then do performance. what the point in making hp if it will break down next week and can't get the power to the road. plus u would want i to handle good to get the most out of the hp. but thats just me

How do you mean make it reliable? it has a new starter motor now but aparently the whol car is all mitsubishi still minus that now
since you bought the car have you had it properly checked out? Get everything running 100% before you do mods. No point getting out to a zorst place and spending $500 on a nice mandrel bent cat back with fat muffler to have her break down next week cause your alternator went :P

since buying have u replaced all the fluids and filter/bushes and bearings. have u serviced the brakes. things like that not, just have someone check it. doing the work ur self so u know it's done. things like pulling the brake calipars apart and cleaning them then bleeding the brakes, making sure things like the power steering system being bled . how many klms has it got on it , has the timing belt been done and if so did u do the oil pump at the sam time as well a gasketsans stem seal valves. general things to ensure ur car is running and performing perfectly. do u get where im coming from. when was the last time the gearbox was serviced cos alot of ppl neglect it. have u got a manual incase something need servicing u can do it urself and the money saved from going to the mech could go towards more mods. not saying the mech didn't look over properly but maybe he knows something u don't cos he's been working on it for a while eg. tells u it's ok but knows the belt need doing so he dosen't say anything cos when it goes wrong u'll take it back to him. future bussiness. might not be the case but why take the risk if u can do most things ur self. prevention is always better than the cure!!

it really does depend what you're trying to do...
aesthetic looks or performance or a mix of both.
if you want to keep it stock mechanically, then do tint, rims, springs, interior, etc...
if you want performance, then do the filter, exhaust, suspension (not just lowering springs), etc...
of course, the people that have said get it all checked out and running well before you start are absolutely correct. no use modifying your car if it breaks down straight after (right Ego? )
cheers,
