Bonnet scoop? foreal?!
I think an off centre slot liiiiiike, in a TD Patrol or something (but a lot more streamlined) would look alright, but is POINTLESS because there is no top-mount or filter for it.

I think i'm thinkin of a RAV4 bonnet scoop. Not an eyesore but gives you that 'extra mean' look.

Aftter getting my nugget back on the road and running again.. its Brembos all round and a Very BIG TURBO..:P
Always wanted a supercharger but everyone has them now..:(
The only type of bulge that would work on a 2nd gen magna would be one off an old jag or something similar, it wouldnt look right with such a square bulge like a BA's.
To give a short version of my list:
v6 TT conversion
bodykit off a lexus moulded to fit
interior done orange and black
suspension, lowered...
car painted metallic black
garnish colour coded..
and way more

Well It's looking like the TR's gonna need new piston rings as I'm 95% sure it's got a bit of blow by :(. Oil's getting dirty quick, a bit of blue smoke and I doubt it's the valve seals as they were new about a year ago.
I've spent too much repairing this thing to flog it off so I'm gonna fix it. So full rebuild for me, but with a twist :). Gonna rebulid it making sure that it can handle boost with the aim of turboing it around chrissy time(ie holidays). So it'll be a re-bore, new pistons, ARP head bolts, new rings etc. Also while it's apart I figure I may as well have a go at a DIY head job(lol) and have a crack at some porting. Possibly even have the tranny rebuilt as well, to make sure it'll handle the torque increase.
Also does anyone know if the aussie astrons have the oils squirters that the Starions came out with? If not I think I'll try to source some of those as well.

depends... i noticed gains... the stock cat is 2" and was the smallest part of my zorst, therefore a restriction. with flow, only as good as your weakest link
Also mine would be pushing out a bit more gases

lol thats a bit biased... dad's very heavy statesman with the ls1 goes hard and has only had 1 major service for about 1500$ no real problems... did cut out before the service around sharp corners... pretty safe :S
I cant tell if my car is faster than it yet, as when im home i usually drive mum's patrol (free fuel) and by the time im in the statesman i forget how my car goes... dad's drive pretty hard too, he's very impatient

I'm not sure if you guys already know about this mod, but I had a TR Elite a LONG time ago, and noticed that it had factory provisions for brake lights in the centre garnish panel.
All I did was splice the wiring to the normal brake lights, wired in the new ones, and fitted globes in the centre garnish panel (they even click into place!)
Looked a million times nicer on the road... :D

Anybody know if the 3rd gen steering wheels fit the 2nd gens???
I've got one I'm modding before installing.
They fit, BUT... the horn won't work. The contact ring for the horn is larger, spaced out further. BUT, I have figured out how to modify so it WILL work... bugger it, was going to keep it a secret 'til I got it done so I was the first...
If you pull out the contact ring from a 2nd-gen wheel, on the 3rd-gen wheel you will see that it is moulded so that it will almost take two rings, the larger 3rd-gen one, and the 2nd-gen one is almost an exact fit, needs some minor modification to either the plastic or the brass ring. Get this installed properly, and you'll have full use of the horn.
As that particular feline has been let out of it's confinement, I guess I may as well give away my other (if I can pull it off) mod, which is to incorporate a large chrome tri-diamond into the pad, ala the latest mitsu's. Will take some very accurate cutting to do properly, and probably some reduction in logo thickness so it sits flush (the pad rubber is a few mm's thick)
