Does anyone know why the front door pockets in the 2003 Veradas are three quarters filled with a plastic? and what the purpose of the fill-up is? Is it removable?
It seems strange that base model magna owenrs would enjoy a decent door pocket, whereas the Verada have a 'joke' for a pocket.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I think its where the side impact foam is located. There is an energy absorbing foam block behind it. As for removing it you will end up with a big hole there unless you swap door trims.

Also in the Diamante there is memory seats and electric fuel release switches in those blanks.

Yep, its a side impact thing. Started in the tj II model onwards (not just veradas). I put my phone in there, who would ever look there!
The Xi's have the electric fuel cap release there (you can see a rectangulare etching on it
for other veradas. And the fact that it has extra impact absorbing foam.
