1 of the speakers on my drivers door is getting weird lately, its going static sometimes then just doesnt make any sound while playing a CD, (i got a TJ my02 those 6 speakers magnas). However if i turn the volume of my stock CD player up from maybe 12 to 15+ than the speaker will work normally again. :doubt:
(sometimes if i hit it might also make it work lol )

now i wonder whether its the connection, as the door has been pulled apart a few weeks ago to change the power mirror, but the problem only surfaces now :cry: or maybe its becuase the speaker on its way out. If the speakers are on their way out, how much is it to get an aftermarket set (better than stock ones of course :) ) ?

Sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere in the speaker.
Take the door card off and check all the connections on the speaker. Turn the radio on and wiggle the wires on the speaker and see if this makes any difference to the sound.

take the trim off and check the connection
as for a new set of speakers really depends on your budget
