Hey guys

I had a quick search for stubby aerials across the forums and i came across "how australian are you?" and "rant alcohol rant" threads lol, how approriate...:|

My question is this, i have seen many mazda 3's and a few other models of cars with stubby black aerials, now i own a VRX and i was thinknig either the electric antenna or a stubby aerial, or hell even getting rid of it altogether and seeing if i could put one on the back window ALA evo IX styles?

Any ideas would be good, and what the likely hood of each of my options are?

This is the first mod i am considering carrying out on my car, i am not really aquainted with my car atm, but i plan on changing that soon i hope.

Thanks in advance to eveyrone who contributes

Peace Shibbs

How do you think you're going to cover up the old Ariel hole? This might be a lot more expensive then you first thought!

Antennas on the back window has a very big drawback, metallised film tinting on the rear
windows affect radio reception. Hence cars like the Forester has it at the bottom of the
front windscreen. Also, they are not called stubie aerials. They are called bee sting
antennas.

If you don't want a hole left on the rear quater panel, you can leave the base of the
antenna mount with the antenna permanantly retracted, otherwise, the best thing is to
take it to a panel beater to fill it in.
