i would like to service the auto in my 98 myself, is it as simple as dropping the pan and replacing the filter or are there adjustments to be made?

Theres a drain plug near the passenger wheel, undo it, theres also 3-4 small bolts on the bottom of the tranny, open these, more will drain out, theres also a spin-on filter below your airbox. Replace this.
Remember to use ONLY mitsi SP3 fluid (about $30 for 5L). Theres castrol stuff too, but more 'spensive.
Also, disconnect battery for 30 secs.
Good as gold. Any Q's just ask.

Cheers Gas_Hed so i need 5Lt SP3 (will any brand do or stick with mitsu) and a spin on filter. Will get on to it in a few weeks.
does the diff share the oil with the auto or was that the diff pan i was looking at when i changed the oil thinking it was the tranny pan?
should i change the diff oil (if seperate) while im at it?

Draining this method will drain about 6-7 litres, so best to grab a couple of bottles. Best to get Mitsu stuff......guaranteed to work and cheaper than anything youll find at repco etc.
No idea on diff oil etc, way over my head.
