Hey Guys
I have been experiencing a problem with the big girl over the last week, sometimes when the engine revs over 2000 even during gear changes the car jerks or baulks, now the revs dont change and the motor doesnt stall it just sort of jerks the car, and I know this cant be good for it. :( I think the TPS might be playing up or stuffed all together, what do you all reckon?? Does anyone know how to test whether the TPS is alright. I mean I have a multimeter both analogue and digital to make sure that the idle is good and to check to computer but how can I test to see whether or not its stuffed??? :?
Anyone??????? :?: :?: :?:

P.S Its a 91 TP ECI / fuel injection.

had a similar problem with a VL commodore, once it hit around 2000rpm :( it died in the arse, my problem was actually the air flow sensor.

Don't know if that helps u at all but good luck with it

Thanks for all the input.
I have found the problem, the worm drive in the ICS(idle control sensor) was not retracting and that was causing the TPS to play up.
All is well now and its working fine, just had to give it a lube job and fiddle with it a bit
