Finally have enough to start my larger mods,
Dolce 19" DC-06
Low/Superlow combp
Pioneer Touch Screen Double Din DVD HU
Pioneer 12" Subwoofer + Amp
20% Tint All Round
Red Back Exhaust System

I am aiming to have it all done in a week or 2.

What I am "concerned" about is getting defected, apparently the bloke at Bob Janes (after standing there whilst he called up 10 suppliers) could only find two tyres that have the legal load rating of 94 for the verada, but most others are happy to sell 93 (cheaper and more common). That's a overall reduction in the load rating by 80kg, is that something i should be concerned about safety wise?

another thing is the dvd screen won't be auto off when the car is in drive

and tint is just a tad to illegal

ride height may be also a problem as it will be unequal drop length(front vs rear)

been a Magna/Verada, what are the chances of being pulled over constantly and defected for the stuff mentioned above in Victoria

Note, Please don't post if your going to argue something with the topic "if its illegal don't do it"

Thanks for help guys!

Consider a wiring up a hidden switch you can flick to make your screen turn off when the handbrake is on, just in case :D

i dont understand the whole stupid load rating thing, the mitsu 380 gt has 93 load rated tyres and is a heavier car... so just get a tyre placard from that car costs $2.80 from mitsubishi

your tyres wont bust, you wont die, and if you crash... your insurance will still pay out it it wasnt a direct cause of the tyre load rating..

i have the pioneer 2din avh6850 and its awesome h/u and legally its fine, plus you cant turn off the display at anytime by pressing an icon on the screen.... i got pulled over by the TMU cops and it was running and they said nothing, you can select different animations/backgrounds etc...

low/superlows... they arent that low, mines lowered more at the rear than at the front, still drives fine and handles good...

i'd consider a diff kind of tint, i have a reflective tint and it's way better than the smoke kind of tint, better uv/heat etc... but also looks cool, esp on cloudy days when you cant see into the car... and its still a legal film, i had 20% on last car and had to open the windows to navigate around newer areas at night lol

man i got 20"s s/c NO suspension, ***n loud exhaust when on the gas s/c blah blah blah.... and at the end of the day its still a nice clean looking car and the police pretty much leave you alone if you being sensible.

I've got similar mods on my KJ Verandah as the ones you are planning (namely 18" rims, Superlow/Low spring combo, 20% tint and Red Back exhaust) and i've never had any problems with Mr Plod. You'll be right buddy

Thats gonna be one hot looking verada!

I wouldn't worry about the load rating, the screen or the cops too much. Just take it easy and don't cause the wrong kind of attention. Plus there are worse done up cars on our roads which police like to stick their yellow stickers on.

Good Luck!

Which area do you live in?

I wouldnt bother with the exhaust, you have a GTV which already has a hi flowing muffler.....thats if youre getting this purely for the HP gains.

it's a nice list you've got there. i'm pretty sure you won't have any problems with the 'togs' with those kinda mods.

lemme know if you want some really good tint done cheap, i'll look after you.
IMO the reflective "Mirror Tint" looks ghey....maybe ok on a silver-ish car, but nothing else.

dunno if u really want the exhaust, as i've heard from many posts on the forums with the drone in the autos... i've noticed my tippy wen it auto mode loves straying under 2k rpms, which would annoy the hell ouf of me if i had a decent exhaust. imo keep the cash, as the exhaust wont offer much of a hp gain, probably annoy u more that anything, and wouldnt u rather turn heads coz of how the car looked, than how it sounded wen it revs? i'd rather have people keep lookin at my car, than turn, look, roll eyes then look back :)

all imo but all sounds good!

also, why not superlows all round? ;)

You'll be right. I have similar mods and have not yet been pulled over. Touch wood. I just avoid spots where you are likely to be pulled over. eg. Chapel st (although i did go down there last friday but the cops didnt even look at me. I love magnas :))

Do it.

Got Exhaust done today (yesterday lol)
Ringwood Performance Exhaust did me a custom exhaust with a 3" stainless droopy tip, $300 cash, still getting driven in but 100km of drivin since and it has started to fire up, sounds awesome. i got them to make the exhaust nice and deep at low revs so basically has a nice deep tone nething before 3000 revs after that it starts deadening out. and the K&N takes over lol

Cro@ : Already booked it in with your guy on tuesday, 20% allround, Thanks for that mate!

19" DUB XHP Shoreline's have been ordered from Tempe, should be at ma door mid next week, leavin it to be dumped on thursday followed by a nice wash n polish.

I'll post pics next week as it comes together.

Rothguard: $300 for custom exhaust, $150 for 20%tint, Wheels n Tyres $2000 to ma door (cost $3300 at wheel/tyre places, so i'm stoked with them, just have to wait till they come from Sydney), $220 for lovell's, $400ish for instalation+compression to my preference, $1500 for Pioneer 7" DVD and $600 for sub n amp. so what ever that adds up to...
