just wondering if 8 gauge would be enough to run a cheap amp (one off ebay, 1000watt, i know but,yea its not for me). I've got 4 gauge on my 1800 wat schneider amp.


the amp will be only running a small sub so yea.

1kw rms? if so, then probably not. I mean it will run, but to be sure you're getting as much power as possible i'd definately go something thicker.
