ok now after just looking at the aussie magna online shop it seems a k&n pod filter would be a better way to go. I do remember hearing of problems with these on magnas though?
are they worth it?

i had the panel...then brought the POD...
then went back to the POD. Id stay with the panel. Get a panel n sum CAI. Much cheaper n will show better results.
Thow PODs do giv a nice induction noise!

yep just checked my box, thats the right number.
Bought and installed my panel today. $129 from Autobahn.
Really impressed! I think its cos my stock air filter was so rooted that its enhanced the improvement i can feel.
The car just seems a lot happier to rev, sounds healthier too 8)
And cant wait for my fuel consumption improvements too :D
Oh yeh and Redav, my car is now mechanically identical to yours......would make for an interesting race at the strip. Just down to the driver it would seem
And will there any dyno days planned in the near future?

Cool, a copycat. I'm sure we'll have something within the next three months. Head to the drags if you can and see how similar the cars really are. Would be interesting I reckon.
how much increase in power and throttle response etc do these give.... do they increase economy too??

It doesn't affect economy unless your paper filter filters as well as steel. I don't know if you'd really notice much in the way of power by itself. Would complement other intake and exhaust mods. Some people quote 3-4kW based on the seat of the pants dynometer but that's rubbish. It would however save you money in the long run instead of paying $30 per service for a new paper filter.
gettin a group buy with one of the other brissy boys KJ GTV. 3 panels $110 each plus $20 for postage eh eh eh eh
..GONE..

Anyone else want one? PM Me and tell me, we may even be able to get them for cheaper!

Yeah I got my panel because I wouldn't need to replace it ever again.
Not for performance gains. It did smooth out throttle response a little..but I wouldnt say it was any power gain.
was just talkin with mitsiman it does increase performance a little it helps a lot with future moding more tho...

Yeah it's minimal...it's more a thing to do with view to future mods.

Nothing wrong with go fast hub caps. Everyone wants them. They're the best mod. They added 25HP to my car and I lost .3 seconds off my quarter mile run!
Stop talking and lets see some action!
As the filter is usually the first thing done, you'll see stuff all difference performance wise. It's just a base mod that you do. It does however help out once you've done reasonable intake and exhaust mods as Mitsiman and I said. Take a leaf out of Nike's book, Just Do It.
Got my K&N panel filter last night...not allowed to quote the price I paid on here but yeah i'm impressed with the improvement!
