For what its worth mate, you'll never get any decent performance out of your engine with small mods. Turboing it would give you decent gains, but for money, you'd be out of your mind on a car worth a couple of grand.

You drive a 4 cylinder, Automatic, Magna... Buy something that isn't a magna if you want performance, friend. That or just dump a 3L V6 or 3.5L V6 in there.

Edit: Oh, a Manual conversion would give you a bit of power too.

and then convert it to manual. 4 more power gainslol

What are you on about? Of course a turbocharger is for a NA engine. Please write legibly and with decent amounts of cohesion and grammar... it is really hard to understand you mate.

I've always thought one of these magnas have the most for performance potential. They're going to be the lightest, have the least weight in front of the axle, and most room in the engine bay. Look at the power you can pull out of a nissan CA18, SR20, or RB20.

Admittedly they were all performance orientated in the first place and detuned from the factory, but with a big turbo conversion I reckon these motors have a potential to be a weapon, as long as you don't run into the drivetrain issues (90% sure that is what holds anyone back).

Easy way............sell the 4 banger (youll get some stupid ppl who will buy a 4cyl TE) and for maybe 1-2 grand more youll get a 3.0L V6 Manual which go pretty damn hard for what youll pay.

Look for Marty, he is a 4 banger kicking ass. lol

I am 4 Cyl, and I dont bother about power, not worth modding.
I will sell it and get a V6 if you want more power.

Drop an rb26 in. Should be good for hmm... say a bazillion kw's @ 81psi.

Electric centrifugal supercharger... I haven't heard good things about them. Just buy a 6 :P

To be honest if you are someone looking for speed, go nuts etc.... dont waste money on the 4 cyl.

I love my 4 cyl due to its fuel economy. I am humble about it and I know it doesnt trash any fast magna out here. Even if you can beat a V6 here you not going to beat some other better turbocharged V6.

take a choice between the two and decide what is right for you and go for it.

Mate if you want to turbo the 2.4 i say go for it, you will be able to see at least 180fwkw with some decent gear, and if you want to take it even further like forged pistons, shaved head etc you will see 200+ with ease.

These motors are very similar to a 4g63 like the evos, so having said that you have plenty of parts available for you to go nuts. You dont need a V6 to see such gains, you just money and patience.
