My brother gave me a 12" Pionner Sub that has a slight crack/tear in the cone. it looks like its super glued back together. is this worth buying an el cheapo amp off ebay and a box for it? or will it just sound like sh!t?

If it's been repaired properly it will sound fine. I had a pioneer sub that was cracked but repaired and it sounded great.

i would hook up a really powerful amp, chuck it on full gain, and full volume and see how much damage you could do!
just for a giggle..
but aside from that, subs are cheap as hell for just something crappy that gives you a bit of bass, why spend money on a broken crappy sub?

Sub is free, if i have to get a crappy amp to power another crappy bought sub i might aswell use the crappy amp to power the free sub! unless u misunderstood your comment.......
