I have a TS Exec wagon and want to mount some 6.5" speakers in the standard roof location (currently factory standard - no audio fittings in the roof at all). Has anyone mounted their rear speakers here?? Is it just a case of grabbing some mounting brackets from the wreckers, bolting them in and fitting the speakers / wiring etc to these through the head lining??? Any tips I should look out for ??? Thanks.

The search facility is your friend...

From memory (I did the search but couldn't be bothered reading it as well), most thought the roof was not a great place for speakers.
I was also considering this option. In the end I gave it away and fitted 6.5" speakers in the wagon's side panels.
Oh, and if your interested, I still have my roof speakers & brackets...

i was wanting to mount some extra speakers in the back doors on my wagon in the same place as in the front ones, has anyone done this or know the difficulty behind it?

i was wanting to mount some extra speakers in the back doors on my wagon in the same place as in the front ones, has anyone done this or know the difficulty behind it?Yeah, I've wondered that too. I have my rear speakers in the side panels of the rear wagon part. Have to have them turned up to be able to hear them (but I have a dickie seat too). Maybe the roof or the back doors would be better?
Could you have 3 sets of speakers (front doors, rear doors & wagon compartment)? Or would this just be silly?
Anyone (sedan or wagon) got speakers in the rear doors?

my rear speakers are in the tailgate. i was thinking additional ones to those at the fronts. there is definatley enough room for extra ones in the back seats and it could be made to look like they are supposed to be there
would i need an amp or could a just run them with the speakers on the tailgate.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I ended up fitting a couple of 6.5" 3-ways into the cargo space trims. They sound surprisingly good especially with the back seats folded. Thanks again guys (especially for the tip about the search functions - have found heaps more useful info since)...
