Hi All,

The boot on my '01 TJ has stopped opening when pressing the remote button, or the button in the glovebox.

When I manually open the boot (with key) and then hit the either release button, the lock/latch still fires and moves. The boot closes and opens true/straight (as best as I can tell).

Anyone experienced this before? If so, what was the fix? Any thoughts?

Is it sillier to ask what/where is that? Is it like the child safety lock on rear doors?

yea there is a white tab type thing on the boot lid just like a child lock on a car door... where the closing latch is... try that
