Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone has looked into re-doing the tinting on the rear window. My TE has a very dogy tinting on it and was wondering what a good price and place in Melbourne would be, preferably in the south east. I got a few quotes ranging from $130-$200, and if the de-mister is damaged an entire new rear window
Also how much more would it be to completly re-tint the entire car in darkest legal.?

Just a few questions
1) Was this for a full car tinting?
2) How good is the quality?
3) Where did you get it done?

Tinting of whole car should be around 250 to 350 mark. I think the back
window can go as low as 10%vlt. If the de-mister is damaged it can be
fixed. There is stuff in auto shops and k-mart auto to fix this.

When no one gives an explanation i usually take it as they heard it from a mate whose dog was talking to my cats mothers friend...
The way i see it. If they do your tint in metallic based film with a full unlimited warranty then there is NO reason not to do it!
Just make sure that full warranty covers, bubbling, cracks, peeling etc etc.

They replaced the rear tint which peeled the same day after i got consumer affairs involved. They made many many promises to fix it but everytime I tool out the amps etc they then cancelled the appointment the day it was due to be done.
The front window was peeling, they jsut cut the corner.
The owner is an arrogant pig, when i went back about the sixth time, he cam out, hit my rear quater and told me "what do you expect from an old car, your windows are bent?"

not the rear quater, he hit that with his fist, he claimed that my Verada windows were crap quality and that they were bent. I suggested to him that commo and ford also use pilkington glass, he could not answer.
