Hiya all,
Trying to decide between three types of tail lights for the TL:
1- factory KL Verada lights - http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehicle/photos.php?key=MITS03IG
2- black altezaa style - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MAGNA-TJ-TL-ALTEZZA-CARBON-LOOK-TAIL-LIGHTS_W0QQitemZ280085981494QQihZ018QQcategoryZ104 00QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
3- clear altezza style - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mitsubishi-TJ-Magna-Verada-4D-Altezza-Clear-TLight-02_W0QQitemZ250085244928QQihZ015QQcategoryZ102560Q QrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I have a white TL, so the clearies would look good cos they'd kinda blend in. Then again, the black ones would off-set it, so that would look good too. And the Verada ones would give it a classy look.
Free plug to whoever's selling the second two! :D

If im not mistaken the KL lights are missing reversing lights or something that requires you to have the KL boot aswell?
The KL lights can be modified tho so I hear.

Ah ok, altezzas it is then!
Next question - black or white? Bearing in mind it's a white car, there are arguments for both.

Honestly id stick with the stock lights or go for the full verada conversion (boot and tailights) rather than go with altezzas.

Thats got 'expensive' written all over it.
For starters, I can't even FIND verada tails for sale, and am too scared to find out what Mitsubishi spare parts charge for em...

www.ozeparts.com.au have the genuine Verada tail lights for $282 or $343 (with wiring harness) each. kinda spendy, but you know they'll fit.
like Gas_hed mentioned, you either need the boot or you can modify them so that the reverse light is in the clear section (where the blinker is).
of course, that'll be more than twice what you'll pay for the others, but then again, you know they'll pass inspection (as they are ADR approved, unlike the others).
cheers,

Meh, I think I'll just stick with the altezzas, might need to post a poll on whether I should go black or white. Might crack MS Paint open and see if I can digitally work out roughly how it would look.
I'd be leaning towards white ones at the moment (only because the car is white) but am open to persuasion. If anyone has any pics of a white TL with either, PLEASE post ! :doubt:

Can you confirm that they are KL Verada rear lights for that price as I need a set for a mod I'm doing to my car, could you also confirm if they come with the wiring, I already have the KL Bootlid all I need are the lights.
Thanks

I would go either Verada or the tinted VRX style. If you then tint your windows (if you haven't already), it should look good on your white car.

Yeah, I might leave em for now.
I would essentially like to get something along the lines of Merc taillights, but that would require some serious surgery on the Verada ones...
Dammit, there's about a million things I'd like to do to this car (if I had the money)

Yes i can confirm they are rear lamp assys......but i get the impression you are after the reverse lights and trim??
I asked for standard TL ES assy and i got given a part no. for a Verada light assy, which the plug looks the same.....

I've already got the Reverse lights and trim and the whole boot lid to go with it, what I need are the rear lamp assys with wiring.
and thanks for replying

I prefer the one on the right... will have to wait for more bank before doing anything :doubt:

Just throwing another spanner into the works. If you are going for the verada lights, how
about the KW tinted ones like mine.

They look nicer again!
It'll probably be a while before I swap the taillights, but I'm leaning towards those.
