hey i was wondering if a 380 engine would fit in a 3rd gen bay has any1 attempted this or thought about it

i cant see why not, it's the same block that has different bore/stroke dimensions and intake differences

i think it hasnt been done due to the high cost, and the much lower cost of the 6g74 why bother with the 6g75 for the $$$$'s extra it would cost...

but saying that if i still have my boat in years to come if it's compatable with the trans i'll be looking at the 6g75 bottom end as a replacment

engine management is different. also you would need to install the screen that is in the 380s. as options can be set with this. headlight things etc which go into the ecu.

edit: i dont know what the base models have instead of the larger screen.

it would be intresting to see if you could just swap the bottom end
