Does anyone know if the Haltech E6X will still allow cruise control to function.

I am told the E6X can be used on a tiptronic auto.

i cant see why not, as long as the installer has half a brain and leaves certain things as they should be

my microtech should be getting fitted late next week/early the following week and it's a stand alone unit thats going to be piggybacked onto the factory ecu so the trans and certain functions still operate while having the ability to completely control the spark and fueling of the engine, and also has control over the water injection that can be activated by boost throttle rpm and about a million other programmable things..

glad i dont have to set the damn thing up.... cant wait to see the improvements

Hope you aren't going to be too disappointed if loose "certain functions". I dont know of a magna with a full replacement ECU that has retained cruise control, and I dont know of a magna running a microtech.

All I'm saying is that you should be prepared for things not to go 100% to plan...... you are modifying a Magna afterall.

nah they can have the cruise i never use it and it's no where near as good as the cruise in the falcon i had :(

just as long as the a/c still works

and the car goes fast :D

I'm just trying to think back. When they put the MOTEC into the Solara withe 3.0 MIVEC (the manual one) I think I read they left the stock ECU to run things like the cruise, central locking, etc.
The MOTEC ran the engine, the original did everything left over.

:stoopid:

Cruise should work.. most of the sensor signals still reach the ECU.

I lost my cruise when I got my twin throttle setup, so as with Meh, mine don't work no more either.
