Having used just about everything on the market, every method, every wives tale I have found a solution.

Most of us will find that regardless of what the label says it will or eventually will ... smear.

The cold night comes, the fog starts on the inside of the windscreen ... trouble is looming.

I bought two microfibre cloths in two different colours.

I saturated one in really cold water, wrang it out and wiped the window so it cleaned but left a smear. Immediately wipe the window again with the dry microfibre cloth.

Hey presto, perfectly clean windows, inside and out, almost invisible glass.

Hope this helps

yeah i use Windex! Great stuff!
Use it with newspaper though not a rag. Rags smear, newspaper doesn't!

Will have to try that cloth idea though...

Isnt windex supposed to ruin tint?

yep sure does, eats away at the glue or something like that
it makes the tint start to peel after a few months

Keep any window cleaner that has ammonia in it away from your aftermarket tinted windows or you'll enjoy the effect described by Mr_Roberto.

Which I wonder what was the big issue in this thread. lol
Is just a method of cleaning glass. Most of the tint safe products works ok, slight smears but hardly when you use the glass recommended cloth.

I get a wet chux rag and wipe down my window, and then wipe it off with a glass cleaning cloth (I think it was made by Kenco, it's blue and I bought it from Big W for $4).

Works a treat - my windows are perfectly clear to see out of. Plus it's only plain water, so it can't do any harm to my tint.

Been using microfibre on my windows now for a few years.

Our QA team that checks over the lamps at work use a weak alcohol based solution with micofibre cloths to make sure theres no marks on the lense.

Apparently we spent quite a bit of money to find a product that doesnt leave smears.. Microfibre is it!

yes it will, the solvent isn't plastic friendly. I found that out the hard way
