i was looking at the cai on the tl and come up with this to keep the original look
it has made a differance when driving over 80kmh
ive cut some of the front grill letting more pass between the grill and bonnet as theres very little clearance from factory
also ive opened the center of the scoop up about 5mm
also i have cut and glued a piece of plastic behind the grill to deflect some of the air in to the scoop
thoughts?

next time you see a tl feel the clearance between the grill and bonnet its about 2 to 3mm
ive given it about 10 to 13 mm

its goto help
theres a lot of restriction in that area
better than running it to a hot road i recon
Have a look near the headlight.. take out the little plastic backing plate and you've got a 10cm hole straight behind the grill getting air rammed into the engine bay... if you chop a little bit out of your battery box theres more than enough room to run a piece of pipe from the airbox straight to the hole, most effective you'll get.

I took my air filter out and left the airbox brackets open, then took it for a spin.
Sounds throaty as... :D
Needless to say, I'll be looking to go a pod filter setup - probably K&N

yes i did this the 1st time it looked realy crapy and it didnt matter what i used as in hose the heat from the radiator was making it warp and change shape
i just wanted it to look standard

3 inch silicone hose shouldn't but it'll be pretty exxy.
