Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can answer a few questions about installing a JVC KD-SC800R into a magna sports 2001.

I have taken out the old CD player that came standard and am faced with 2 wiring white plugs. The JVC unit (which I took out of my old car) does not have the white plug that it originally came with.

It has a row of 9 pins and a row of 7 pins underneath on the back. I have seen the wiring diagrams and I think I can match up what needs to be connected to what. But how do I get another white plug to fit my HU?

Or somehow I need to modify the mitsubishi plug to fit my JVC :S

Any help would be appreciated :)

have a look at this thread

click on the magna wires link
will give you what each wire is on the main harness
then just match the wires to the ones on your deck and your done :D

thanks for reply - but my question was more how do I match the wires? Do I cut off the white plastic plug and then solder?

Or do I split apart the plastic plug? Sorry if its a bit of a dumb question but im confused :P

At the moment Im thinking I will try to split up the plug into lots of different plastic plugs and attach them to HU.

The only plug I have is the one off the car wiring. Thinking maybe an Aerpro adapter might be what I need

if the deck had pre-outs than all you have to connect is all the wires on the harness except for the speaker wires
