My KE Velour Seats have up/down/forward/back adjustable headrests.
My KH Leather seats just have up/down.
Hope It Helps.

My KJ head rests only adjust up/down. I've always wished that they could also adjust fore/aft to make for a more comfortable driving position. The head rests should be interchangeable between models no?

Our 93 TR SE Gen II has up / down and fore / aft adjustment on the headrests.
Maybe this feature was linked to specification rather than model range?

So now i just need to find a pair of KE/KH front head rests and have them retrimmed before i put them in my KJ.

Does anyone know if the earlier 3rd gen headrests will fit a TL? I want fore/aft adjustment for the passenger seat.

This feature was probably removed for a reason - potentially for safety reasons.

More likely for cost/supply issues....

The four way adjustable headrests were removed for cost reasons, had nothing to do with safety. If it was safety we would have had to do a recall and replace all of them, including all US Diamante's. Make sure you check the shaft diameter for the legs of the headrests. There was a change in size in the later models, and they are not interchangable.
Hmmm. Even my old KS XI had the 4-way head rest.

The four way adjustable headrests were removed for cost reasons, I would have rather heard it was for safety reasons. It's great to know you drive a car that's been de-optioned due to cost cutting.

Lots of things have been removed due to cost cutting.
In my KS, it had high compression engine, knock sensors, adjustable timing, variable length
inlet manifold, variable speed (vehicle speed sensitive) windscreen wipers and 4-way front
headrests.

Just compare a base model US Diamante to a base model Magna and you'll see just how de-optioned they are :(.
