Heya all,

Picked up my TL over the weekend, and I'm more impressed with it than I thought I would be!

I already removed the air filter and took it for a lap around the block - sounds sweet. Will definitely be doing a pod filter down the track (I hear K&N do a rectangle-shaped one specific for the TL).

As for exhaust, I will need to see if the rear muffler is bolted up to the system, so it can be easily removed (wanna test drive it w/o rear muffler to see how much louder it is, if at all).

I've got about a million more ideas for it, but will need to have more of a play first.

Does anyone know how to remove the standard tiptronic shifter???

The shifter?? As in the t-bar knob?
From memory, the TL's have a screw in the back of the knob, near the base.
The TJ's had to have the button removed, and 12mm nut undone.

Cool.

I think I'm gonna have to buy a workshop manual - there's about a million things I want to know how to remove! :doubt:

Thanks.

Without a rear muffler it will be very loud! Would suggest you do it for a very short period of time.

You can download the workshop manual off the net. I think i found a like somewhere on here or another magna/mitsu forum.

Thank you sir!

They're .iso files - do I have to burn it as an image to CD or something??

You can burn it using something like Alcohol 120% or Nero or mount them on Daemon. Once you do that you install it and robert's ya fathers brother!
