Its mine..

And if I can cut mdf to make a boot install, anyone can.

Its just like a jigsaw puzzle. I used cardboard templates and then traced them onto mdf. A little jigsawing later, and lots of sanding, and voila!

Under the fluff is all black carpet too which looked very neat, but needed something more.. um.. creative.. for autosalon.

It just takes some care, and creativity.

Thx. Yeh, I got the fluffiest fluff I could.. its more like hair than fluff! It malts like an animal too...

What do you mean by personal job? I did it all myself if thats what you mean, and I dont own a jigsaw either.. just borrowed a friends (thanks Dee!)..

Flip boot mod was DIY. Not hard, theres even a tutorial on AMC somewhere.. Just dont be scared to drill a few holes on the inside arms of the boot. Make sure the hinges line up nicely, and all done. A few washers to make sure the boot sits flush when closed and youre set.

do u know what would completely top that off!

a shaved boot lid, and a boot popper with an arm that raises it automatically!

aha saying that u probs already have it haha

um how much did it cost?

Why not? the a pair hinges cost $3 and a pair of barrel bolt cost $5 at MagnetMart. Unless you use the expensive one.

Its a little more difficult than that to have the boot open in the flipped position... otherwise we would have done it by now :P

Unless of course you know a way.. then you could share it with us all... :D

I shared it already, the secret is in the link I inserted. Is it not possible to put a latch bolt?

I have done a boot-flip install and I got around the latches using bonnet pins. Was a little tricky but the idea was simple enough. Picture of mine & 2 other boot-flips at our recent award winning QMD AMC display at Super Sunday. Will try and get some close ups this weekend for yas.
