could it be the splitter i used on the pwr lead to run both amps

should i ue 2 seperate pwr leads

Buy a noise filter from jaycar, cost $30 bucks and wires in on your amp power lead. I had that problem and fit one, and now not a noise! :)

are you using the same sized wire for both the power and ground? Both wires should be exactly the same

G'day there;

Few things....

Personally I wouldn't recommend the noise filter - I'd rather not put anything in the system which could create resistance at any stages and induce problems in the quality. After all, if it's taking out noise, it has the capacity to take out other things - right?

Look behind the dash near the back of the head unit for starters. There are many electrical bits and pieces there which can interfere with your RCA's. In my TR there was a few wires loose which led to other components behind the dash. Once I tucked these up out of the way and cable-tied them back all my noise was gone. Key thing is to ensure that RCA's are away from any major electrical wiring in the car - that should stop it.

Best of luck,

Adam
