my drivers side window is really hard to wind up. It's like a workout.
Easy to get down, then i've really gotta struggle to get the damn thing up. The rest are fine - just the drivers side.
Any thoughts?

Try CRC silicone spray on the runners.

Lima,
its most likely the runners...try the ez-glide from bunnings... works a treat on mine :)
i would suggest ur careful with it because otherwise you will damage the winding mechanism... and its like $100 for a new one... (i know i did it...)
...whats a runner

:gtfo: ........... nah its the 2 grooves the window glass slides up and down in.....
ahk...so it just needs a bit of a lubricate.
sweet, will try on the weekend.
Thanks.

make sure you don't force it up by the handle thou... put your hand on the inside for the moment and help it up :) otherwise you will do exactly what i mentioned above (u don't want that... not fun)
yeah cool, will do. Just started uni, i cant afford anything now :P

Damn I had this problem on the passenger side of the TS. Gave me the shiits.
But yeah, it's the runners, you'll need to spray them with silicone spray.

i had the same prob as well, tried the lube several times (hehehe) but then the prob was still existant so i took the door apart n had a look and discovered that (ok get ready for lack of technical terms) the wire that pulls the window up and down had come off its grooves in the pulley thingy that is on the other end of the window winder (told u to b ready for lack of technical terms) and was going into the other grooves and running tight against the wire already in that groove... anyone that has taken the door apart n peered inside directly behind the window winder will know what im talkin bout.. i fixed it by gettin new windor regulators from the wreckers... prob goooooooone... not sayin this is the same prob but this is what i experienced in my car and the info might prove useful..

LOL lube? As in KY Jelly?
Man one time it was shiiting me to the max so got general household oil and put it down the window sill, hoping it would help the window be easier to slide up when i wound it. Ended up just smearing the window with oil and making it all blurred. Was the most stupid thing I ever did :doubt:
