I've never seen an engine cover for a 4cyl 3rd gen.

try a wrecker... probly the easiest thing to do. never seen a third gen 4cyl cover either lol

Maybe buy a used one from wreckers and do it to that -- at least that way, if you don't like it, you can throw it out. :cool:

That'd be nice too, but white may be too bright... I'm thinking heatproof silver (mat finish), not a shiny gloss finish.

anyways bak on topic,ive wanted to do the same think your thinkn of dude,theres 3 bolts above our extractors on the cover that says 16 valve,my mate has designed a cover for my car we are planning on doin it soon basicaly it could just bolt on to where those bolts are with longer bolts,would use some metal pipes as a base for the design the use fiberglass materials and just sand it into the right shape then all it would need is a few coats of paint maybe some clear coat and yeah!
i havnt got around to doin it yet but it wil happen!we also had an idea of putting a neon underneath the cover and getin some stickers made up like "HAMISH2" for it just like my mate has his custom plates under his engine bay on his cover for his v6 magna.
edit:there are 3 bolts haha just remebered:)

Maybe paint the valve cover white and do the lettering in red?
That alongside the intake done in mat grey with red lines on the raised bits should look sweet :cool:

Also, like I said, do all the hoses in silicon (thinking yellow?) and get reservoir covers for the power steering and brake reservoirs.

Once you've done all that, come back to me and I'll give you some more :D

If you will do it yourself maybe $50 (Fiberglass, filler,sandpaper, paint). Not so sure.:P
Though I've seen the other day that someone is selling cf cloth at ebay for $35/mtr. That's cheap.
