Hey guys, I'm pretty sure the window seals on my TJ are dying. Front and back windows squeek like crazy, and the front seals are crumbling. I've searched the forums but couldnt find definitive answers. The cars obviously out of warrenty.

So, what is the deal with getting them fixed? Do the windows still have to be pulled out, or is there a fix with the windows in. I dont really want to take the back one out because I've just had some pretty expensive tint put on it.

Do mitsubishi still use the same method of fitting windscreens? Or should I take it to a proper windshield place to get fixed once and for all?

And does anyone know what this will cost?

EDIT: Hmmm. I clicked on the wrong forum. Move if you need to :)

like all modern cars the screens are bonded with an epoxy - which depending on age and weathering, can break down and cause squeaking. I don't think it can be repaired, but any dealer or screen supplier could fix this by replacement. The word is that Windscreens Obriens supply Mitsu with their screens so you get a direct, exact replacement from them. Cost is about $260 for the front and $450 for the rear. Certainly I was very happy with the front screen replacement they did on mine and yeah, the squeaks disappeared.
