Hi guys,

after my little incident from friday night, i'm left without a pair of rear speakers and a car smelling of stale beer (and i dont even like beer).

I had a pair of JBL gto937's.. rated at 100wrms @2ohm.

Frequency Response (±3dB) 50Hz-21kHz
Sensitivity 94dB

They retail for about $170 at strath.

Umm.. my question is, are there any other equal or better 6x9's that come into a price bracket of around the $150-300 mark? or should i just get another pair of these?

If not then i might have to save a bit more cash up... and if i do what would be a good pair to go for?

Cheers, Phil.

you've got subs in your car correct?
if so i wouldnt be spending more than 150 for speakers in the rear
you'll be using them mostly for infill
you subs are what will be producing the base not the 6x9's ;)

buy my alpine type 'S' ones off me...

i want some jaycar response 6.5 splits in the back

i wouldnt worry about 6x9's in the back just stick with some nice spits or coaxials... especially if u ave subs :)

Yes i do have a sub.

Ahh k, righto; might just buy another pair of the JBL's then and save for some splits for the front.

liverpool_rule_88, i've already got my parcel shelf cut-out for 6x9's so i think i'll just stick with something easy to whack straight in.

Cheers for the advice guys! :)

Oh, on another note (so i dont waste space starting a new thread). Sound deadening; is the paint on underbody tar sufficient for doors? or is dynamat the go?
