Im soon to be in the market for a new set of rims. And im wondering what is the biggest set i can fit into a TF Sports with Super Lows. I need like all info, like width and all, that way i know what i can and cant look at.

Thanks in advance, if anyone can help.

20s with 225/30s will be about the biggest you could go mate...thats what i have and its very very close to the stock overal rolling diameter and it never rubs at all .. and my car is slammed big time.. far lower than king super lows

go as big as you like, you can fit anything on...

but rember it's easier to go 20's than 19's if you want to keep to the same width and rolling diameter

225/35/20 is exactly the same size as my factory 16" alloys, but to get a 19" i would have had to go to a 245/30/19

and being as low as my car is the 245's would rub like a mofo, but the 20's are sweet as :D

its silly to lower your car and put big shiny wheels on

you could go 22" with a 245/20 tyre, good luck finding one but the circumfrence would be almost the same, which mean when you goin 100 your really doing 99.8

20's are biggest sensible choice, 19's are annoying because its hard to find a good tyre for em at a cheap price as andrewd said the 20's offer a more common profile.

don't go any wider then 8.5, its ideal and will sit about even with the guards, 9 won't be to bad if you really want some deap dishes.

check up whats legal, and be aware of it, not many really follow it but its good to know.

as a source of rims/tyres go tempe tyres in sydney or buy direct(if they've re opened) in melbourne.

I paid 1900 for mine with rubber from tempe, avoid bob jane n them, tyre factory want 375 per wheel on special PLUS tyres :bowrofl:

Hi there Kruzr

I have a couple of quick questions if you don't mind answering, what size tyres are you using with those 19" rims and how much were they? Also what did you use to lower your car? ie. kings?, lovells? and how much are they lowered by?

235/35s/R19 do not rub and are pretty close to factory sizes

I have 235/35 Nankang NS-II wit load rating of 91Y lol They are about $200-$230 a tyre

I used Lovells as I hate king springs with a passion, i wanted my car low but still comfortable to some degree, and then compressed the front springs by an inch.

from the centre of the wheel to the "eyebrow" the rears are 350mm, and the front a little taller at 360mm

from memory on the stock mitsu sports setup it was about 375mm on rear and 390mm on front.

Ta m8, I was wondering if you'd achieved that 94 load rating set by Mitsu. Stupidest thing they ever did.

just thought id point out all this crap about you can go as big as you want as long as the rolling diametre is the same is all a load of crap. mate got pulled over and first things cops did checked his placard and told him his 18's are illegal for his car coz his magna came stock with 15's so the most he could go is 16s or 17's. so make sure you get things cleared befor you get your rims.

@GTV KruzR i found bob jane to be the biggest help then tempe or tyre factory. tempe and tyre factory did not care about legal issues all they wanted was my money and they got annoyed pretty easily if i asked alot of questions. never using them again.

so true no bigger than plus 2 fitment over the rim size on the placard
ie if placard is 16 inch than 18 inch max size increase unless you get an engineers
report as far as over all diameter is concerned no more than 15 mil different from
the placarded tyre size and speed and load rating must be the same or above
what the placard says . i will be using 245/35/19 when i change rims because
there is more options and its easier to get the correct load rating .

Yup this has been cover 4 times in the past month. Deal with the plycard 1st! change it if you must suggested by some, second if not Engineer's cert. I really have to give it to people who can afford the biggies as tyres are costly and the rims are a bomb.

depends on the cop

the vrx had 17s
so 19 would be the biggest you could get away with
anything bigger would be a problem

Better be safe than sorry mate. Try and deal with the legal issues at the same time, save you the money and time altogether. Dont wait till things happen and then write a sorry ass thread here, thats reckless.

I agree with Ashneel, some shops dont give jack about legal issues and they just put them on for you. Just like tint shops that dont bother about 35% or mirror tint. When you come back and ask why you never said so They will tell you is the road rules we thought you using it for a demo display. lol

Yeh me to, bob jane was great spent 20min callin up as many suppliers as he could, found 2 tyres that would be legal, 255/sumthin, when i called tempe to order my wheels, i spoke to some fully sick idiot who sounded as though he couldn't give a **** and just wanted the sale to be over and done with. Buy direct in thomastown has to be the best i've dealt with but they temporarily closed because of sale of business when i wanted to go buy, so tempe was the best to go (price wise), and 19" wheels with nankangs for 1900 I was more than happy when i compared it to bob janes 2800, tyre factory in bayswater are knobs, don't have a clue.

the tyre experts hume highway fawkner!!!!

talk to allan (ahmed is his real name) let him know you are mates with the guy (andrew with the 20's on the magna) he'll look after you

he will match/beat any price and the turn aroud is quick

also he has all the latest laser computerised aligning gear

most MOST shops around here wont touch my car cos the rims are to big and it's too low, their povo aligning machines wont work on it....
