Did this yesterday, really happy with the result, also fitted the colour coded TH grill a few weeks ago.

Found it pretty easy, managed to slide them in without taking the bumper off and the wire mod was pretty easy.

Any comments welcome or if ya fitting some and need advice, just holla

I know this will be noob comment of the century, but I'm guessing "parras" are the headlights?

Great, which was why the DIY thread mention what it is called, Parabolics and Verada lights.
Can anyone justify the word parabolics? Maybe Heathyoung? I did not understand where the term came from? The lancers maybe?

Like to know a bit of history if anyone can fill in.

Ok this was pm to me.

it appears to be the curve of the lights which brings the term.

Bout the best I can come up with would be, Parabolic lights is a light that is used to define on a concentrated area (Front of car), correct me if im wrong but any light that I have seen does this ... Parabolics have been used in offices, but they r sht cos they dispurse light in one area an therfore create uneven light thru out offices...

I have driven cars with n without the paras, personally I cant tell the difference...

The Parras on my KE were pretty shocking up until a few days ago.

Bought & Installed some Narva +50 bulbs and noticed a HUGE improvement.

Probably just the fact that Ive never changed the bulbs since Ive owned the car, and chances are the previous owner didnt either.

yeah parabolic, refers to a parabolic curve...

i did this all in maths...its got to do with the way light reflects off of a curved survace..

apprently getting a better beam or something along those lines...

did I hear better beam? :bowrofl:

hahaha well in maths that is what we learnt, it is a more concentrated beam...hold up ill get some piks for ya :P

here are the two beam types, as u will see, the parabolic concentrates the light waves in straight lines....therefore creating a condensed area of light...where as the nromal light is sort of like an open box, and the light travels out in non straight lights....having a wider beam...
