I got this noise, comes from the left of the engine (when sitting inside) so its coming from the area of the chains. When i accelerate you can hear it, when you cruise its ok, when you slow down (clutch out still) you can hear it.

Only really heard it in the last week or so, do you think maybe my lash adjusters are broken? or maybe just loose. I dont think its the timing chain as it self adjusts (unless the adjuster thing on the oil pumps gone which i doubt), so what do u think?

hm can u hear it when idling? and is it really loud after starting the motor, and then it dies down a little..? maybe the timign chain adjusters are gone.. :?

yeah sounds about right, except the adjusters cost like 150, and the chains are only 30.... I think one of the counter balance chain adjusters must have just given up one day, it happens, ohwell.
