First I would like to say hello to everyone on this great site.I think I have a major problem,I have a 95 magna TS 4 cylinder Auto and the other day my wife went to the shops and she said it went okay but when she came out of the shops it would not start, the key would just make a clicking sound as if it was the battery a couple of people tryed to jump start her but it did not start,I went down got a new battery but that did not help I then went to a auto elec who was next door and he said it was the starter motor so I got him to fix it when it was fixed he tryed to start it but it did not start so he jumped it and it did, so I got in to drive home and while driving home I saw that the oil pressure light was on so I stopped checked my oil but it was fine so I continued home, parked the car at home and did not check it again to the following morning but when I did there was oil everywhere on the driveway opened the bonnet and you could see that the oil had sprayed everywhere and it seemed that it was coming from the front part where the puleys are so I rang the auto elec he came down to make sure he did not hit anything while he done the starter motor he did not and he said it looks like my motor has gone I found that hard to belive as the motor has done only 145,000 and there was no sign before hard except for tappet noise so I rang a mobile mechanic who came down and said it was not my motor but my timing chain had snapped I told him I had the timing chain done at 100,000 and that was about 2 years ago and he said who ever done it the last time did not tighten it properly and it snapped causing a bit of damage to the cover it blew a hole in it and also the stabilizers or something like so he is charging me $1400 to fix it and that includes doing my tappets does this seem right to anyone your help would be great.

Cheers Bob
