now a mate of mine needs a front engine mount (behind radiator/under factory headers) but the wreckers in cairns don't deal with 1st gens anymore:rant: . So can anyone tell me if the mount is the same from a 4cly tr/ts. im only wondering cause my brake booster went the other week but bcx7 pointed put that there the same out of the 4cly tr/ts. so i got one and put it in no probs. so i want to know if i can grab the mount out of a tr/ts 4cly and use that?
maybe if someones bored thay could do a write up of what is mechcaniclly (bs) compatible between the 1st gens and 4cly 2nd gens.

I dont believe they are the same, the cross member in the TR/S is different.
2nd gen bits that are the same:
Carby Engine
Carby Autos
All 4 cylinder manuals
Brake Booster
All 4 cylinder bolt ons
The 2nd gen EFI engine is different but is a direct bolt in and runs well.

I think if I remember right, the ones in the 2nd gen have a sorta flat-boxy shape on the back of the transmission, where the speedo cable goes into. I presume something to do with the internal design of the diff. The first gens just have a little hole for the speedo cable.
