I just wanna quickly say if your going to autobarn/repco/supercheap there should be catalogues available in that aisle (for supercheap this is true) and you just look up your make and model of car and it tells you how much oil you will need to do a complete flush and what type too

I know an additive that can be used in manual gearbox oil to dramatically extend lubrication. There is a short video proving the product works by demonstrating the product on a friction brake test machine here http://tinyurl.com/2duhxq just scroll down a bit. Takes less than 3 minutes and 15 seconds to watch. Can be used in other lubricants aswell like motor oil and power steering fluid.

Thanks,
Rauli

I'd say both. People may consider it spam but the link I give shows the product works. I've been using this for about 18 months and never looked back. Another member of these forums has sent me a private message wanting to purchase 2 bottles already.

Thanks,
Rauli

Anyone got pics on which bolt is best to use as the oil filler bolt. I know there is one on the top but it is still positioned horizontal which of course, isn't good, or EASY to refill with fluid and the workshop manual has nothing on refilling, only the drain plug - which sucks ass.

On my way to super-heap now to get some 'manual transaxle gear fluid'...

Just draining the trans fluid now. A little worried that all the gearbox needs is 2L. It looks to me that it has drained more than that and is still dripping. Time for a pie and then in goes the new stuff. Ended up getting some Penrite something something 80, apparently the castrol flavor for the DMX-M (which i was going to get but didn't really want 4L if i only needed 2L) and the bottle is 2.5L so that is cool that i have 500ml to play with.
