Not for a Magna, but got a head off a 3.9L facon (EA) machined / repaired for about $350 in Brisbane about 6 years ago.

That was just the head work obviously - I removed it from the car, took it down to the workshop, picked it up the next day and refitted it.

I'm guessing that getting both heads off a V6 would be more expensive - but to what extent I don't really know.

Recently got a set of 3.5L heads back from the automotive machine shop, and here's what they did. Took the heads in after I'd stripped them already.

-Bead blast and clean
-3 angle Valve seats cut
-Skimmed .5 mm
-Flow bench tested (by a third party, after I'd Ported and Polished them)
-Reassembled with new lifters, seals , Ralliart Valve Springs and Cams (all supplied by me)
-Calculate CC Volume

It took me 3 mths. to get all this done , so he gave me a discount for stuffing around. :D

Cost was $600.00 without parts.
